Casa Luca is a project in development, started about three years ago; it involves changing a shack on a 5000sqm abandoned olive and almond grove, without water or electricity, into a versatile, stimulating, relaxing and peaceful retreat suited to the needs of a variety of people.
The first part of the project was completed in April 2014. Part of the old rundown house / shed was demolished and a new very bright and friendly house has been built. In the centre is a large living room with open kitchen, from where there is access to two bedrooms, a shower room and 2 sun terraces with stunning views of the hills of the Axarquia above Benamargosa. This new building is completely separate from the rest of the house; it is fully furnished and can accommodate 4-6 people.
The second phase of the project comprises the outside area and planting of the garden. Work will continue when no guests are present. A pool with terrace area and a Mediterranean garden are planned for the large area below the house which has already been levelled. The wild and abandoned olive and almond trees on the lower part of the property will also be taken care of again.
The third phase of the project includes the renovation of the old house and rest of the building. This part is self-contained and separated by a door from the new building. Long-term plans are to establish a seminar and workshop room and a nice, typical Andalusian patio.
